Five Companies Enter Bridge Mobile Alliance

The Bridge Mobile Alliance announced on November 15 that five new companies have entered the alliance, including Nokia, Qualcomm, Axalto, Gemplus, and HP. This comes after Motorola, Ericsson, and ZTE joined in August. The alliance also includes eight Asian telecom operators, which together have approximately 70 million subscribers. The Bridge Mobile Alliance's goal is to improve mobile phone technologies and services in Asia, and it especially focuses on roaming and 3G services.
